What this site collects.

Short version: no accounts, no forms, nothing you type. Only anonymous measurement of how many people visit and download — and none of it starts until you agree to it.

The app itself collects nothing

This page is about the website. Torrent Live, the desktop application, has no telemetry, no analytics and no phone-home of any kind. It talks to BitTorrent peers and trackers because that is what a torrent client does, and to nothing belonging to us. There is no server on our side that it could report to.

What the website collects

Only if you accept the cookie banner:

WhatWhyWho
Page views How many people find the site Google Analytics (Firebase)
Download clicks Which platform people actually use Google Analytics (Firebase)
Approximate location, browser, device Collected automatically by the analytics tool Google Analytics (Firebase)
Advertising cookies To show and measure ads, if ads are enabled Google AdSense

We never see your name, email or address, because the site never asks for them. There is no login, no newsletter and no contact form.

Nothing loads until you say yes

If measurement or advertising is switched on, you get a banner before any third-party script runs. Decline and none of it loads at all — not throttled, not anonymised, simply never fetched. Google Consent Mode signals default to denied and are only updated if you accept.

Changed your mind? Use Cookie settings in the footer of the main page. Withdrawing is as easy as giving.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's localStorage under tl-consent. That never leaves your device. Clearing site data resets it and you'll be asked again.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard web server logs including IP addresses. This is ordinary infrastructure logging that happens on essentially every website, is not tied to the analytics above, and is not something the consent banner controls. Google acts as the host and processes those logs under its own terms.

Where downloads come from

The installers are served by GitHub Releases, not by this site. Clicking a download button sends you to GitHub, and GitHub sees that request under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK or another region with comparable law, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the site collects no identifying information, in practice the meaningful controls are:

Children

This site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Material changes will reset the consent banner rather than quietly carrying your old answer forward.
